Wipro Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD), Thierry Delaporte to resign from his position as CEO and MD. Srini Pallia to take over as CEO and MD of Wipro after Thierry Delaporte’s resignation.
The firm informed the same to the Bombay Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, and New York Stock Exchange by a filing on the 6th of April. The firm informed that Delaporte, who has led the transformation of the firm will be stepping down to pursue passions outside the workplace.
Wipro’s New CEO and MD
Srini Pallia, the future CEO and MD of Wipro has worked with the company for the last three decades and has also served as the CEO for Americas 1, Wipro’s biggest and fastest-growing strategic market. He is currently also a member of the Wipro Executive Board. He joined Wipro in 1992 and has held many leadership positions like President of Wipro’s Consumer Business Unit and Global head of Business Application Services.
He completed his bachelor’s degree in engineering and master’s in management studies from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Further graduation was done from Harvard Business School’s Leading Global Businesses executive program and the Advanced Leadership Program at McGill Executive Institute.
Srini Pallai will be based in New Jersey and will regularly report from there to the Chairman of Wipro – Rishad Premji.

What did Thierry Delaporte say about this?
Thierry Delaporte worked as CEO for four years. He will continue as the CEO and MD till the end of May, working with the incoming CEO and MD, Srini Pallai. He has worked towards the growth of the firm, improved partnerships and better efficiency.
