The Dunki film, starring Shah Rukh Khan, is scheduled to open in theaters on December 21, 2023. Even though the film has only been out for three days, critics have already given it a great deal of attention. Industry tracker Sacnilk estimates that on the first day of its release, 1,44,186 tickets were sold. With pre-booking sales, it is already certain that the film would bring in at least 4.45 crore in India.
Atlee asserted recently that Shah Rukh Khan’s film will surpass Jawan and Pathaan at the box office. However, Salazar, another highly awaited film directed by Prashant Neel and starring Prabhas, will collide with the movie. Shah Rukh Khan is now in the lead at the ticket window. According to Sacnilk, states like Delhi, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Telangana, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir have seen exceptional bookings on Dunki.

Fans’ response to Dunki Trailer
A single user on X (formerly Twitter) commented on the trailer, calling it boring. He further said the plot has nothing unique to offer because these subjects have been explored in several Punjabi films. “That accent irritates me so much. Why Punjabi and Hindi should be mixed is beyond me. Not even comedy comes out of it.”
“I should keep my comments on the trailer to myself”, said another person, “I find it difficult to empathize with the plot, the Punjabi accent sounds forced, and the language is unimpactful. Not to add, the way SRK is getting older—in both “Jawan” and this—looks laughably absurd. I believe this to be Hirani’s poorest movie to date. You are welcome to come for my head. Toast.”
