The NIA press release also identifies the accused as Mussavir Hussain Shazib, the person who carried out the IED blast and co-conspirator Abdul Matheen Taahaa. Their names first emerged when over 30 members of a network aligned with the Islamic state were identified in Karnataka Tamil Nadu.
Muzammil Shareef who extended logistics support to the main accused was arrested by the NIA on 26.03.2024. As part of the searches, they have raided 18 locations in Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

An unidentified handler going by the name of “Colonel” and “Bhai” had emerged in these cases. These cases are still being probed by the NIA.
