Just hours after Lady Gaga addressed pregnancy rumours on TikTok, Taylor Swift has spoken up, urging people to mind their own business and stop commenting on others bodies.
The speculation about Lady Gaga started when photos from her sister’s wedding surfaced, showing her seemingly covering her stomach. Gaga quickly shut down the rumours with a TikTok captioned, “Not pregnant, just down bad cryin at the gym,” referencing Taylor Swift’s song “Down Bad” from her latest album.
In a playful twist, another track from the same album has Taylor Swift poking fun at persistent pregnancy rumours with the lyric, “I’m having his baby, no I’m not, but you should see your faces.” Lady Gaga also took the opportunity to remind everyone to register to vote.
Taylor Swift commented on Lady Gaga’s video
Taylor Swift commented on Lady Gaga’s video, not to comfort her, Gaga seems confident and unbothered, but to call out the invasive and irresponsible habit of commenting on women’s bodies.
Taylor Swift wrote, “Can we all agree that it’s invasive & irresponsible to comment on a woman’s body. Lady Gaga doesn’t owe anyone an explanation & neither does any woman.”
Taylor Swift has been open about how body scrutiny, especially pregnancy rumours, has impacted her mental health and contributed to an eating disorder, something Gaga has also faced.
In her documentary Miss Americana, Swift shares that she avoids looking at photos of herself daily because in the past, seeing an unflattering picture or reading a comment about looking pregnant would trigger her to starve herself or stop eating.
“I remember when I was 18 and appeared on a magazine cover for the first time,” Taylor Swift recalled. “The headline read, ‘Pregnant at 18?’ simply because I wore something that made my lower stomach look not flat.”
Honestly, it’s really sad that she had to address this because people were commenting about her body, people should not be allowed to comment on other people’s body, fans have been saying for years that’s she was pregnant, just because how she looks in certain outfits

Sarah Tanno, Lady Gaga’s makeup artist and the creative director of her cosmetics line Haus Labs, also defended Gaga.
She addressed the fans who have repeatedly speculated about Gaga being pregnant just because of normal weight fluctuations.
“For years, fans have speculated that she’s pregnant based on how she looks in certain outfits. Why spread rumors about someone you care about or love? This kind of speculation affects people’s mental health. People should stop body-shaming and assuming pregnancy when it’s not the case,” Tanno wrote on X.
