Bibhav Kumar – Kejriwal’s PA and the accused
The alleged accused in the Swati Maliwal case, Bibhav Kumar aka Arvind Kejriwal’s secretary is once again grabbing headlines. Of late he has been under ED scrutiny in a probe against Kejriwal’s excise policy linked money laundering case.
In February, ED conducted raids at 12 locations, including those connected to Bibhav Kumar. Last month, the probe agency called over and questioned Kumar in connection with the case.
Recently, the Directorate of Vigilance has terminated his services as Kejriwal’s secretary over a 2007 pending case against Kumar, wherein he was accused of obstructing government work with grave charges of assault and criminal force to deter a public servant from the discharge of his duty.
Later, he reportedly filed an OA before the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) challenging the termination order. But the OA denied the plea stating that granting such relief would be premature.
