The popular Bollywood actress Kangana ranaut took a push at the major family of the Congress party, i.e., Gandhi family, in an interview with India Today TV on April 4.
Her comments came in the light of BJP’s giving her ticket, leading Kangana contesting 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency on BJP ticket.
In the interview, she claimed that the Gandhi heir was the victim of an “ ambitious” mother, proclaiming to Sonia Gandhi. On top of this, she added that Sonia Gandhi coerced and forced the Wayanad MP and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra into entering the political realm.
National Award winner actress elucidated, “Rahul Gandhi is a victim of an ambitious mother. As we have seen in the film ‘3 Idiots’, kids themselves become the victims of Parivarvaad. The same is the situation with Rahul Gandhi,”
In the opinion of Kangana, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra should be liberated instead of being afflicted by their mother to continue in politics.
Kangana calls Rahul ‘loner’
Rahul Gandhi was being relaunched as a youth leader despite him being older than fifty.
“I feel he is being pressured and is very lonely,” she recapitulated.
Rahul Gandhi should be empowered to follow a distinctive career path, also overshadowing acting.
“Rahul Gandhi should have done something else and maybe tried his hand at acting. He could have become a good actor. His mother is one of the richest women in the world. There is no dearth of wealth. There have been rumours that he is romantically involved with a woman, but he is not getting married”, Mandi-born actress stated.
She asserted that she felt a “natural alignment” with the BJP and referred to the Congress as a “ghotalebaazo ki party” (party of scamsters).
Praises Netaji
She also mentioned her approbation for legendary freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. She said, “I was in the film industry for 20 years and had a lavish life. I don’t see myself as a neta (politician). I am just a BJP candidate out there to serve the people.”
The celebrity further expressed that Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate’s recently removed offensive message caused her “anguish”.
“It’s extremely distressing. While men are encouraged to pursue their careers, women are often told to dress modestly and cover up. This perpetuates the sexualization of women, which is unacceptable.”
A derogatory comment aimed at Kangana Ranaut and her hometown of Mandi was posted through Supriya Shrinate’s Instagram account, triggering widespread outrage.
Following this, the Congress leader asserted that the remark was made by someone else who had unauthorized access to her accounts. Furthermore, she was denied a Lok Sabha ticket from the Maharajganj constituency in Uttar Pradesh by the Congress party due to the severe backlash from her offensive post.
