Gurucharan Singh, known to many as Sodhi from the beloved TV series Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma, has recently gone missing, causing concern among fans and authorities alike. Initial investigations by the Delhi Police shed light on his impending marriage and financial difficulties.
Sources within the police department shared that Gurucharan had withdrawn ₹7,000 from an ATM in Delhi. His last known whereabouts, dated April 24, were traced to Palam, just a few kilometers away from his residence. Since then, his phone has been switched off, adding to the mystery surrounding his disappearance.
According to officials, Gurucharan’s flight was supposed to depart at 8:30 pm on Monday, but surprisingly, he was spotted at a traffic intersection in Palam around 9:14 pm,” As per the report. He was seen crossing the road, carrying a backpack, as captured in the last CCTV footage of the actor. Gurucharan’s father, in his complaint, mentioned that Gurucharan left for Mumbai from Delhi via a flight on April 22 but never arrived. The police are actively reviewing CCTV footage near his residence to trace the path he took to the airport.

Gurucharan Singh’s fans and well wishers unveils concern
Concern is among fans and well-wishers of Gurucharan Singh, the beloved actor renowned for his role of Sodhi in the hit series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, as news of his mysterious disappearance spreads. Gurucharan, who had been visiting his parents in Delhi, was expected to return to Mumbai but has been unaccounted for since April 22.
Distressed by his son’s sudden absence, Gurucharan’s father reached out to Delhi Police and filed a complaint, seeking assistance in locating his whereabouts.
Rohit Meena, DCP South West Delhi, addressed the situation, stating, “Gurucharan’s family has reported his disappearance since April 22. He was supposed to travel to Mumbai but didn’t make it. We’ve initiated an investigation under Section 365 of the IPC. Our team, along with our technical experts, is diligently reviewing CCTV footage, which captures him walking alone.”
Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma fame Mandar Chandwadkar recently reacted to his former co-star going missing in Delhi. Mandar, known for his Role of Atmaram Tukaram Bhide in Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma, expressed his surprise, saying, “It’s quite unexpected for me too. Gurucharan often shuttles between Delhi and Mumbai. The last time we crossed paths was at Dilip Joshi’s son’s wedding in December. We shared some good moments together, but unfortunately, we haven’t been in touch since then. I’m sincerely hoping and praying for his well-being.”
In a recent interview, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who portrayed Gurucharan Singh’s on-screen wife, Roshan Sodhi, in TMKOC, shared her concerns, saying, “We haven’t been in contact for about a year now, but I attempted to call him yesterday, only to find his phone switched off. I’m unsure if anyone from the show’s team is assisting in the search, as no one has reached out to me. Gurucharan is a wonderful person, and I truly hope he’s safe and well. My thoughts are with him, and I’m holding onto hope.”
