Putin’s Rare Interview: Politics, Poland and Power
For the first time after 2019, Russian Prez Vladimir Putin gives a one-on-one interview in Moscow on Thursday, 8th Feb 2024 to a host hailing from the West. Putin, was interviewed by Tucker Carlson, who is a pro-Trump, controversial right-wing journalist in The US.
In the two hour session, the President revealed some intense statements about his ties with the nations and future plans. This talk comes just in time to mark two years gone by when Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.
Vladirmir Putin assented to give this interview since Carlson is an associate of The likely US Republican leader – Donald Trump who did not voice out his support for Ukraine. Owing to this, the ex-host of Fox News will give a different perspective to the stereotyped reporting of Russia.
Recently, Trump claimed to abate the amount of dollars sent to Ukraine as war-help funds, commenting that already more than $110 billion have been sourced to Zelenskiy’s aid by Biden. Biden has branded Putin as a ‘war criminal’.
Stop supplying weapons: Putin to US
The Kremlin leader also affirmably states that it is ‘impossible to defeat Russia in Ukraine.’ and went on to victimise Russia and remark on the deceptions his country endured from the US to Carlson
Putin vehemently denies taking any regret over attacking Ukraine two years ago and confidently says that its time the US, Europe and NATO, who aided Ukraine in the war by providing ammunitions, realise that Russia will not be defeated.
Russia is up and ready to combat any strategic attempt of the West to bring her down. Subtly nodding to the fact that these is a surge in the number of Trump supporters in the US Congress, who are not in favour of backing up Ukraine, Putin directs his speech to the US admin saying ‘If you really want to stop fighting, you need to stop supplying weapons.’
Russia is ready to wage a War
On inquiring about Russia’s future plan of attacks of conquering countries in the European Union or NATO members – Poland and Latvia, Vladimir believes that it was “out of the question.” He has no concern in other countries and there is no solid reason to attack them.
Saying that, Putin held a stong facade, admitting that if Poland initiated an attack, then Russian wont shy away from waging a war.
Eliciting from Putin, his views if Donald Trumps triumphs the election and enters the White house, Putin remarked that its the person’s personality that affects leadership, not the party they come from.
His Russian replies were dubbed in English and aired, as he suggested to US leaders to negotiate with his nation and deal an agreement. He also threatened subtly that Russia is ready to fight fiercely till the end.
This interview ensues a parliamentary discussion on sending more funds to Ukraine’s aid or not.
