Hamas-Israel war has continued with the bombing of targets in Gaza six months into the war.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted on destroying Hamas despite the ongoing talks regarding a ceasefire.
Hamas recently said that it was “studying” a new proposal for a temporary truce that was submitted during talks with US, Qatari and Egyptian mediators. Under the plan, the fight would stop for six weeks, and 40 women and child hostages would be exchanged for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. The plan also included up to 500 aid trucks entering Gaza per day.
Hamad said that it appreciates the efforts of mediators but blamed Israel for failing to come to a common playground. Israel officials on Wednesday said that their assessment says that Hamas does not want to strike a deal.
זה יקרה – יש תאריך. pic.twitter.com/KOhStmGSGp

The immediate aim of the Israeli side is to secure the release of hostages seized by Hamas during the October 7 attack. Israel took a strong stand and said that it would not end the war until Hamas no longer controls Gaza. Benjamin Netanyahu has continued to campaign about the Rafah invasion and the attack from Gaza has also continued. Mr. Netanyahu reiterated that message on Tuesday during a visit to a military base, saying: “No force in the world will stop us.”
Gaza has changed forever
After the Hamas terrorists attacked Israel on the 7th of October, the Israeli government continued the rampage in Gaza destroying several Hamas targets and killing several heads of the organization. There have been areas in Gaza filled with mountains of rubble and shattered buildings.
Israel’s retaliatory attacks after Hamas’s attacks have at least killed 33,000 people in Gaza, though the numbers remain disputed as the proof of death hasn’t been found.
The attacks from the Hamas’s side haven’t stopped on the Israeli civilians and the armed forces. The Qassam brigades fighting for Hamas’s cause and providing it military support have recently claimed to have hit a position of the Israeli soldiers and tanks in the barracks which led to the destruction of tanks and the killing of soldiers. Such news about the attacks and Israel’s retaliatory attacks keeps on coming and the Gazans continue suffering.
Months ago, the people of Gaza were suffering from food and fuel shortages due to the ongoing war. The lives of people in Gaza have turned miserable day after day.
Hamas-Israel Ceasefire resolution passed
On the 25th of March, the resolution on the Israel-Hamas conflict reached a resolution where an order for a ceasefire was passed in the UN Security Council. This brings hope for the people suffering.
This resolution has enabled both parties to come to a table and talk about the issue trying to find a resolution. The resolution passed in the hope that the war would come to an end with both parties’ mutual agreement. Though there hasn’t been any decision yet the talks are still undergoing.
The Security Council just approved a long-awaited resolution on Gaza, demanding an immediate ceasefire, and the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages.
This resolution must be implemented. Failure would be unforgivable.
