Godzilla Minus One OTT Release Date
After making a huge impact at the international box office, there’s been a lot of excitement about the OTT release of “Godzilla Minus One.” The movie premiered on Prime Video on May 3, but this was limited to viewers in Japan.
Reports indicate that Prime Video holds the digital rights for the film, and it’s expected to be available to a wider audience later in May. However, an official announcement regarding its broader release is still pending.
“Godzilla Minus One” won an Oscar this year for Best Visual Effects, earning around $107 million at the worldwide box office. Director Takashi Yamazaki shared in an interview with Deadline that he had been asked to direct the movie several times before.
He explained, “I turned it down until my team’s technology could truly bring my vision of Godzilla to life. After seeing ‘Shin Godzilla,’ I felt more motivated and our technology had advanced significantly. When I was approached again, I decided it was the right time to take on the project.”
