To eliminate the hassle behind recharging a NCMC card, Bharat BillPay has collaborated with SBI powering NCMC. It will simplify the process and encourage customers to sign-up for NCMC and boost the ‘one nation, one card’ initiative by the government.
What is NCMC ?
In 2019, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs launched the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) under an initiative called ‘one nation, one card’. It aims at secure, swift and cashless transactions for travel, toll tax and parking fees. Multiple type of payments enabled using only one card.
It specifically aims at simplifying transactions at public transportations such as buses, metros and trains besides promoting cashless payments across the country. The government has partnered with more than 25 banks, including SBI, across the country who provide NCMC cards. They are available as debit, credit and prepaid RuPay cards.
