Apple is gearing up for “Let Loose”
Apple is gearing up for its next big reveal, dubbed “Let Loose,” set to take place on May 7 at the iconic Apple Park in Cupertino, California. Expectations are high for the unveiling of the next-generation iPad Pro and iPad Air models, alongside a new iteration of the Apple Pencil.
Rumours suggest that the upcoming iPad Air may debut in a variety of fresh colour options, reminiscent of the vibrant iMac range. Additionally, a revamped Apple Pencil is anticipated to accompany the new devices.
Apple CEO Tim Cook teased the event with a playful post, saying, “Pencil us in for May 7!” This hint was further emphasised by the inclusion of the Apple Pencil in the event’s invitation graphic.
Leaks about the Expected products
As per the reports, the upcoming iPad Pro lineup is set to introduce a larger 12.9-inch model, marking the debut of an OLED panel on an iPad. With the anticipated inclusion of the potent M3 processor, the iPad Pro series is poised to be one of the most formidable iPads yet. There are also whispers suggesting that Apple plans to include a built-in calculator app with these iPads, a feature not seen in the lineup for 14 years.
There’s speculation floating around that Apple might unveil a 13-inch version of the iPad Pro, slightly larger than the current 12.9-inch model from the sixth generation. On the flip side, the smaller iPad Pro model is expected to maintain its 11-inch screen size.
The buzz suggests that the upcoming iPad Pro models will likely boast the M3 chipset, which is also found in the latest vanilla Apple MacBook, Pro, and Air models. While the current M2 chip is no slouch, the newly revealed M3 chips are touted as some of the most potent SoCs currently available.

The new Apple Pencil is anticipated to work seamlessly with both the iPad air and the iPad Pro. Compared to its predecessor, the Apple Pencil 2, the updated version is expected to offer enhanced precision with reduced latency and increased pressure sensitivity. Additionally, Apple has introduced a more budget-friendly Apple Pencil featuring a USB-C port, making it compatible with older iPad models.
In addition to the new Pencil, Apple is rumoured to release some first-party accessories, including an upgraded Magic Keyboard. This new keyboard is said to have a sturdier build, improved typing experience, and a larger trackpad. These enhancements are seen as part of Apple’s strategy to position larger iPad models as viable alternatives to MacBooks.
