Harry’s Abrupt Visit hints Royal Conciliation?
Prince Harry’s flying down to the United Kingdom for a quick visit to his ailing father has sparked a lot of discussion on the Internet.
As the Prince renounced his royalty label, there were ongoing tensions in the Monarchial family, amplified with the estranged ties with his brother Prince William. The friction in the family’s relationship exacerbated when in his memoir titled ‘Spare’, Harry makes some shocking and scornful allegation on the members of his kin. On Wednesday, 7th February, the Prince came to London, UK to meet the King at the Clarence House, residence of King Charles and Queen Camilla. After King Charles got diagnosed with cancer, Harry rushed to the UK to meet his father.
His wife, Meghan Markle continued to stay in Los Angeles, California at their residence with their two kids – Prince Archie and Princess Lillibet.
This gesture provoked some whirring talks about a possible reconciliation among the royals.
Not a 45-min but a 12 min Meet
Intriguingly, what caught the attention of the people was the number of minutes the Duke of Sussex met King Charles who recently got diagnosed with cancer.
Amidst the circulating rumours that the son and father had a long connection for 45 minutes, Lady Colin Campbell, the royal commentator confessed that the abrupt royal meet lasted for a mere 12 minutes, much less than what was reported.
In her statement, she said clarifying that “My understanding is actually the meeting lasted exactly 12 minutes. Not 30 minutes or 45 minutes and Harry took it upon himself, without an invitation, to get on a plane, fly over and inform the King’s office that he was arriving.’
Reason behing Harry’s visit
She ended the announcement on an ambiguous note, leaving the people wondering the purpose of Prince Harry’s visit. Was it for himself? Was it for the King? Or was it for getting more material for his Netflix show?
Or perhaps, it was a deed targeting all the three things at once?
Some also suggest that it was a petty act of publicity by the Prince to remain relavant in news with no emotional reason but to keep himself at the forefront of the public’s attention.
