Apple‘s latest Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) kicks off today at the company’s headquarters in California, featuring a keynote by CEO Tim Cook.
This year’s event is highly anticipated, as it marks Apple’s significant entry into the realm of artificial intelligence (AI).

According to a new report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the highlight of WWDC 2024 will be the unveiling of Apple’s Siri powered by generative AI.
This upgrade will allow Siri to control specific features within system apps, making it significantly more versatile than other voice assistants worldwide.

The report also indicates that Siri is being trained to understand a wide range of indirect and context-based prompts.
With the help of generative AI, Siri will be able to perform custom actions, offer proactive tips, and provide improved responses, enhancing its overall functionality.
Gurman also mentioned that Apple’s AI features, potentially rebranded as “Apple Intelligence,” will enhance various Apple apps, including Notes, Mail, Messages, Voice Memos, and more.
