Suspended JD(S) leader and party president’s son, Prajwal Revanna has been deported back to India on Thursday night, was taken into custody by the Special Investigation Team in-charge of the Hassan sex-scandal case. The Hassan MP had been on the run since last month, compelling SIT to ask for Interpol’s help and issue a blue-corner notice against him.

From the airport, he was taken to the CID office in Bengaluru. He was transferred to the city’s Bowring Hospital for conducting his medical examination such as blood pressure, cardiac health and blood sugar level before the court hearing today. His anticipatory bail move at the Principal city and Sessions court for Elected Representatives will be heard today.
Prajwal’s mother, Bhavani Revanna is scheduled to appear before the SIT on June 1 for interrogations linked to her son’s case.
The 33 year old Prajwal, grandson of Deve Gowda and the BJP-JD(S) alliance candidate from Hassan has been booked for three sexual assault cases so far.

A timeline of Revanna sex scandal episode
April 26- Explicit videos of Hassan MP engaged in obscene activities with several women emerged on social media ahead of Lok Sabha polls in the constituency. He reportedly left the country and fled to Germany after the polls ended on May 26.
April 27- Karnataka CM formed a SIT team to investigate the case and bring Prajwal back into the country. Additionally, the National Commission for Women wrote a letter to the government regarding Prajwal’s explicit acts.
April 28 – a sexual assault complaint was registered in Hassan against the running candidate, Prajwal Revanna and his father HD Revanna, JD (S) Chief. The complaint was registered by a house cook. In her complaint she said, “Whenever (HD) Revanna’s wife wasn’t there, he used to call the women to the store room and touch them while giving them fruits. He used to remove saree pins and used to sexually assault women,” she added. She claimed that the abuse happened between 2019 and 2022.
April 30- The JDS party temporarily suspended its MP candidate Prajwal Revanna from the party and welcomed the SIT probe into the incident.
May 1- Prajwal’s team of lawyers bargained for time before submitting himself to the SIT probe. He posted on X, “Truth will prevail soon.”
May 4- Prajwal’s father HD Revanna is arrested in a kidnapping case linked to sexual abuse allegations against his son. He was bailed later. After multiple failed notices to Prajwal to respond to the SIT probe, a blue corner notice was issued against Revanna to locate him.
May 23- former Prime Minister and grandfather of the accused HD Deve Gowda issued a stern warning to his grandson and asked him to appear before SIT. He asked him to face the law and warned him of serious consequences if he refuses to return.
May 27- a couple days later, Prajwal Revanna announced his return to India on May 31 and claimed he was depressed.
May 31- As soon as Prajwal’s flight landed in the Bengaluru Airport at around 2 am, officials took him into custody.
