The movie’s success story began with an impressive Rs 10.28 crore nett and Rs 20.07 crore gross worldwide on Friday, setting a new record for the highest opening day collection for any Indian film led by female actors. This momentum continued with Rs 10.87 crore nett and Rs 21.06 crore gross worldwide on Saturday, culminating in Rs 11.45 crore nett and Rs 21.40 crore gross worldwide on Sunday.
Despite facing competition from Hollywood’s Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Aadujeevitham, Crew managed to shine bright at the box office. It’s especially significant for Kareena Kapoor Khan, considering her previous theatrical release, Laal Singh Chaddha, fell short in terms of box office performance, making only Rs 26.6 crore within the same time frame.
Crew, which also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma, is directed by Rajesh Krishnan and produced by Ekta Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor.
