In a thrilling comeback against Manchester City two years prior, Real Madrid found themselves trailing after Bayern substitute Alphonso Davies scored a spectacular goal in the 68th minute.
However, Joselu, who came off the bench, leveled the score in the 88th minute after a mistake by Manuel Neuer. Then, just two minutes later, he scored again from a cross by Antonio Rüdiger, initially ruled out for offside but later awarded after a VAR review.
“We’ve experienced it numerous times this season, where it seemed like we were out of the game… but it doesn’t matter who gets the goals, someone always steps up with that never give up mentality,” shared Jude Bellingham, who will face his former team in the final.
Describing Davies goal, he said, “Davies made a spectacular move, cutting onto his right foot and curling an unstoppable shot into the far corner.”

Despite dominating the game, Madrid kept the pressure on, especially with Vinícius Júnior causing trouble for the visitors on the left side. The Brazilian forward smoothly maneuvered past Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Kimmich, creating numerous opportunities for himself and his teammates. However, their efforts were repeatedly thwarted by an inspired Neuer.
Just when Neuer seemed destined to be the standout player, he made a crucial mistake in the final minutes, mishandling a strike from Vinicius, which allowed Joselu to score the equaliser. The goal ignited the crowd at the Bernabéu, and within minutes, Madrid seized another dramatic victory, propelling them into yet another final with their trademark European magic.
